Having a comfortable meditation area with accents and amenities is a must tool for the serious meditator. A meditation chair is especially essential for those individuals who need more support to sit for more extended periods. A chair or cushion designed for meditation helps prevent discomfort and injury from prolonging sits. Otherwise, it is okay to meditate without back support by sitting on a floor mat, bench, or my favorite Zafu pouf.
