Creating the ultimate practice environment She'Sep 20, 20172 min readUpdated: Mar 23, 2018Get comfortable the way you relax. I have a quiet space that includes a chair, a rug, and pictures that are filled with my favorite colors, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, magenta, and white to help bring me into focus. You choose what is serene for you to relax. Sometimes I fill my senses with the fragrance of lavender. Music also helps with slowing down the breath so that the body can move into rhythm like the waves gliding along pushing from the center of the sea. Sit or lay, it’s your comfort zone that matters most. Seek that spot where you can release your thoughts and worries for a moment. Take notice that your body is free by gently straighten your neck and shoulders by turning your head to the right, pause and then to the left, inhaling and exhaling, rest the breath between movement. Next roll the neck slowly into a pace of your own flow. Now when you are ready close your eyes and slowly take in a long stream of air through your nose pulling it all the way down into your belly filling it to the core expanding the area as it moves into fullness, release the air back up through the chest and out through the nose. Moving into the flow of the breath you should now feel the energy moving in and out like the ocean moves calmly circling the earth, swirling around in and out all at the same time. The heart beat is steady the head is flowing and sinking down, down, and down even deeper into the body merging and melting, keeping the flow of the breath into cycle until you come to a quiet space in the mind. You are into nothing but breathing and sinking into the resident of yourself. You come to that place at the top of mind that’s vibrating or tingling between the eyes or in the middle of your temples. Feel the sensation swelling down below, a soft yearning to feel more. That’s the dragon stirring at the bottom of the ocean moving the flow into the back of your head crawling all over the body touching you intimately. Keep breathing your flow and breathe through the nose one last time; the fire has started. Breathe. Now, when you are ready, start releasing the Dragon’s breath through the mouth letting out the sound that blows the breath from the mouth emptying the body so the juices can simmer the flame. That’s how sHe moved in politely and took over.... A JustBreatheShe Moment
